South River Slow Roll

Join the Weelaunee Cycling Coalition as they experience connection to each other and the forest as we ride along the South River, otherwise known as Weelaunee River.

We will start out by getting to know one another and sharing what we love most about the forest and the river. Then, we will slow roll down the South River Trail PATH to fern garden behind the GSU Perimeter campus where we will take a break to enjoy the scenery and each other's company. Then, we will turn around and ride towards Intrenchment Creek Park where we will stop at the barricades placed at the tunnel entrance to the park. We will take another break here and have some snacks before we return to the parking lot. The entire route will be paved multi-use PATH trail, no roads. We will periodically regroup and rest and no one will be dropped.

  • Meet Time: 3pm

  • Roll Time: 330pm

NOTE: Please ride safely and adhere to all normal traffic laws as they apply to bicycles. Please wear helmets, bring lights, and exercise caution at all time. These routes are on active roads so ride at your own risk and always be wary of other cyclists and drivers on the road. Thank you and good riding!!
