Cycling For Good

Cycling For Good is a grassroots Atlanta Initiative started in 2015 by Damon Elmore. On the last Sunday of each month, a wide range of cyclists (couriers, general enthusiasts, leisure riders, commuters or racers), gather at Loose Nuts bike shop in the Grant Park area of Atlanta. Their purpose is to deliver healthy food options, essential clothing items, and personal care accessories such as deodorant, feminine hygiene products and shave cream, to areas of downtown Atlanta most populated by people deemed homeless. They meet new people along the way and most importantly learn names and stories. It has been recently described as Atlanta best do it yourself, crowd funded distribution network. Over the years, the group has collaborated with schools, cycling groups, small non profits and companies, to broaden its donation base and serve the community in an even bigger fashion.

At its core, the initiative serves as a way to see the city through a different lens and build upon the human spirit.

For ACF Damon is doing a special ride time and we ask all who can to join Damon as he guides you through the city to help those most in need.

  • Meet Time: 11:30am

  • Roll Time: 12pm

NOTE: Please ride safely and adhere to all normal traffic laws as they apply to bicycles. Please wear helmets, bring lights, and exercise caution at all time. These routes are on active roads so ride at your own risk and always be wary of other cyclists and drivers on the road. Thank you and good riding!!
