Spring Bike Camping (Cancelled)

CANCELLED

We are sad to announce we will have to cancel our Spring Bicycle Camping event.  We love the camping trip and look forward to it each season.  It is always a rewarding experience to get people out on the Comet and under the stars in Rockmart.  However we are a small team and each camping trip requires a large amount of commitment of time and labor for not only the event itself, but also its preparation.  Unfortunately due to issues concerning our day to day jobs, we will not be able to hold the Spring Campout this year.  We discussed attempting to postpone, but this would require moving it into May as we prepare for our 8 day Bike Festival.  Therefore, we will be looking forward to holding our Fall Camping Trip on October 18-19 and will be working to ensure that we are better positioned so that the Fall event will go ahead no matter what.

Though we are sad to not ride out to Rockmart with you this Spring, we look forward to seeing everyone in May for our 2025 Festival!

Our camping trip kicks off again this Spring. Join us on April 19th and 20th and experience one of the most popular rides of the year. All you have to do is ride, eat, and enjoy and we will take care of the rest! This is a fully catered, and fully supported event that will ride from Atlanta to Rockmart GA along the Silver Comet Trail. We will transport all your camping gear for you.

What you can expect!

  • Beautiful scenery!

  • Awesome company!

  • Home cooked food!

  • Excursion to Rockmart!

  • Tasty beverages!

  • Games!

  • Movie night!

How does it work?

  • Meet 9 am Saturday, April 19th

  • Load all your camping gear into the support vehicle

  • Set off for Rockmart!

  • Stop halfway for a lunch refuel

  • Arrive at Rockmart for refreshments, home made pasta, bonfires, and s’mores. Vegetarian options available as well!

  • Spend the evening outside with amazing people!

  • Wake up the next day for breakfast and then ride home.

This will be a 37 mile ride both ways, but don’t feel too overwhelmed because it’s on a flat path and at a casual no drop pace. We make sure everyone gets there! Though this is not suggested for first time riders and is best for those who are able to ride at least 15 miles.

We will start off in the morning stopping for lunch halfway, then continue on all the while enjoying the beautiful Silver Comet Trail. As we pedal along, this one upon a time train line will carry you through the gorgeous natural vistas of the Georgia woods. Arriving late afternoon we will set up our tents right away so that we can get down to the real business, happy hour! Beer, snacks, cornhole, and other activities will keep us entertained while our home cooked meal is prepared. We will cap of the night with s’mores, fires, and a movie before heading to bed. The next morning we will wake to a full breakfast, then pack up and hit the trail in order to mosey our way on home.

Necessary details for meeting locations and ride information will be emailed before the event along with requests for dietary restrictions.

This is a rain or shine event and will be cancelled only if conditions are too dangerous to ride. There are no refunds and all sales are final.

NOTE: Please ride safely and adhere to all normal traffic laws as they apply to bicycles. Please where helmets, bring lights, and exercise caution at all time. These routes are on active roads so ride at your own risk and always be wary of other cyclists and drivers on the road. Thank you and good riding!!
