This year our Structural Inequities ride explores locations that feature in the first two chapters of Dan Immergluck’s 2022 book, Red Hot City – Housing, Race and Exclusion in Twenty-First Century Atlanta. The ride will feature several short stops in Vine City, downtown, and Old Fourth Ward. The ride is intended to give a sense of how Atlanta developed the way it has, and how gentrification was baked in by our leadership during the Olympics and early days of the Beltline. We’ll end in Summerhill with a chance to discuss more about the ride’s theme.
