Omne trium perfectum! Come ride the southside with Tri-Cities Neighborhoods Bike Rides (TCNBR) (https://www.facebook.com/groups/658389888165507/). Get to know this unsung stretch of Atlanta’s bungalow belt by taking in all three historic downtowns, countless charming and modest neighborhoods, and glimpses of Atlanta’s former industrial heartland. What else is on deck? We’ll spin by the Dick Lane Velodrome, one of only 22 bike racing arenas in the country, cross Headland and Delowe, which ATLiens know was the start of something good, and get buzzed in the shadow of the (love it and hate it) most gigantor airport in the universe.
Make the trip south! Ride on down, roll that bike on MARTA, or toss it in the car and make the short drive. The route is round trip from the East Point MARTA station, and after the ride you’ll have the choice of extra miles continuing to ride up to Midtown or taking the train to Arts Center for the after-ride get together at Politan Row (Colony Square). Think the riders can beat the train?
If you’ve never seen these historic areas, then this is the ride for you. The Tri-Cities Neighborhoods Bike Rides group was founded in the lonely doldrums of the pandemic to bring people together, grow friendships, and to appreciate and have pride in our unique communities of Atlanta’s inner southside. Roll out and enjoy good company and good times in the Tri-Cities on this beginner friendly, causal pace, friendly road (mostly!), everyone is welcome ride.
